Big nail on the tire

I'm supposed to be in a lecture in 10 minutes.

Found out the front tire at driver side to be flat at 7am,

woke dad up and it was changed to spare tire.

Feel too insecure to drive it on the highway

so I've decided to wait until it's serviced only then I'll hit the road to BJ again.

Last Saturday I went to karaoke with the Dandelions.

Then hang around in the mall to kill time before the guys' gym time.

Back then in 2009

Now :)

It was really funny, the whole machine was like experiencing earthquake,

keep shaking when the guys were playing.

It was fun time.

Just like back then.

You'll finally understand the phrase "friendship is golden"

when friendship lasts this long, feels so right.

Later at night, I went to Starbucks to redeem my free beverage.

I got it from buying a tumblr.

My first Java Chip

Then it was when I first playing poker this CNY!

only during 6th day of CNY.

It's different because I used to play poker days BEFORE CNY.

This was my look while coming back from Genting.

Unintentionally brought my earphone, music time!

So,

back to the Chinese New Year Eve!

Pink isn't really my colour though my friends said this one suits me.

Put on some make up then off we go to Grand Garden for our reunion dinner!

On the first day of Chinese New Year,

we had our first meal in My Vegetarian.

Then we went to Genting.

Nice big room we had :D

And I'm so delightful to see these...

New year cookies!

Mom didn't really bought a lot of CNY cookies

which is a part of CNY.

I jumped joyfully around the room when I first arrived,

then immediately had a few of the cookies,

yum yum~

Later we went to the casino,

gamble a little,

had the free meal in the buffet restaurant inside.

Having a brownies from Famous Amos has became one of my must-do in Genting.

I was having soar throat but I don't care,

just gonna drink lots of water afterwards.

I was gonna buy mashed potato with popcorn chicken in KFC but guess what's on the notice board.

Why oh why?

I only wanna eat popcorn chicken once in a blue moon.

Childhood favorite

Then I took chicken nuggets instead.

They no longer have the 4-piece one on the menu.

Though it was quite nice having a KFC meal my old fashioned way,

my childhood way,

dipping the nuggets with the sauce of mashed potato.

Except I used to take large mashed potato instead of the regular one.

Another childhood favorite is this,

Though I never told anyone.

Wish I were a kid again, so that I can fit in that little car, teehee~

I bought a scarf since I forgot my jacket.

It was 18.5 degree celcius.

We're only staying for one night.

The next day, which is today,

I had my breakfast in Starbucks at the hotel lobby.

Spending most of the time napping, sleeping, alone, etc.

Now I'm done with hair mask and facial mask,

it's time to change and rock this Chinese New Year again!

烟火盛会

窗外的烟火照映进来，

心中即刻感到震撼。

大家都在倒数的时候，

我竟然已经累得睡着了，妈妈也没把我叫醒。

醒来时，午夜时分已经过了。

起身把旗袍换下，

刷了牙，洗了澡，

捧着一杯温热的水，

走出那热闹的街头。

何其热闹！

邻居们有的在烧冥纸、有的在放炮。

我也托邻居们的福，

远近都有漂亮的烟火炮竹。

太漂亮了！

CNY 2011 Year of Rabbit

这是去年照的了。

今年的烟火更加亮眼夺目，而且视觉佳。

隔街的工程结束了，

所以添了新的邻居，新的烟火；

围篱拆了，所以视觉佳。

想象：

几尺以内，十尺以外和远处烟火同时绽放。

刚刚我就拥有这么赞的享受！

I tried the new Valencia Mocchiato from Starbucks last Tuesday!

The main purpose of the trip to JJ that day was actually to reload my Starbucks card

so that I can redeem this!!

I also went walking around in the mall.

CNY is around the corner now!

Though it's quite lame that they only modified the deco from Christmas.

It was enjoyable ^__^

The stage

Our batch was scheduled to redeem our book voucher from the government last Wednesday.

RM200 book voucher for all local u Malaysian students!

We are so delightful about this

because we can really use this voucher for recipe books in preparation for MNT lab!

The next day,

we had our happy happy reunion photoshoot!!!

We had our ND109 reunion dinner on that day as well!

Great memory in YUEN buffet steamboat.

I slept over at Jennifer's.

After some pillow talks, we swam the next morning and went to Subway for breakfast.

RM6.30 only, so worth it!

In the night,

I had dinner with the Tee's.

I went out for a walk after stuffing my stomach until so I'm so full.

The restaurant was just beside Overtime.

It was quite nice listening to the singers' singing.

There,

it kicked start my CNY break.

I spent my first day of the break mostly on the bed.

Has been feeling quite sick.

On Saturday,

I went out with bro,

ate my favorite XiaoLongPao and watched Viral Factor.

I'm still feeling uncomfortable till now.

Not as intense but quite bothering.

Qiang qiang!!!

These were from my CNY shopping!!!

This Dragon year is gonna be great!

I got my first cheongsam, nice blazer and dri-fit!

Also bought another long sleeves formal from MNG, very nice colour!

Drop by Popular as well, bought two recipe books,

each less than RM20! Super worth it!

Tried the Planet popcorn, I finished the packet in 2 days!

Bought mask and nail colour from Etude House,

I like trying out all the colours, hahaha~~~

Last Friday was Friday thirteenth,

not a very good day but I survived through it!

First time experiencing punctured tire,

sent SOS to my dad and waited for rescue pulling over on the highway.

This is the first time I ever seen the spare tire,

it is so small though it functions just well.

I guess spare tire isn't so bad after all,

I mean the one around my waist,

at least when starvation strikes the country

I'll be able to survive longer xD

Well, that was when I was coming back from Seremban.

Driving alone from Klang to Seremban was damn boring.

You can speed like nobody's business though I didn't.

There went more than a quarter tank of the petrol.

The next day, which was last Saturday,

I was helping out at my family restaurant later then drove my mom and aunt to Subang Parade.

On Sunday,

I went to Subang again with a friend from Dandelion, the choir.

We went to Sunway Pyramid instead this time.

It was great time catching up with Suzsent :)

We had our meal in Full House.

The mashed potato was good!

I forgot what's the name, but this mango drink was good too!

This no good, don't order :-P

I sort of spent away all the extra money I earned from November's job.

Feel okay to me this time cause I got spent it on all the things I had always wished for!

Oh then,

it was my turn to drive to Seremban on Monday.

So that was 2 trips to Subang and 2 trips to Seremban to finish the 1 full tank of petrol within 4 days!

The other day,

I was brought to a very old and classy restaurant in Port Klang,

D'Tavern.

Had a great meal.

In the end I like his onion soup better.

I keep saying it's a very complete meal with appropriate portion size,

must had bored my companion, hahaha.....

We had 8am class almost everyday this week,

so used to waking up at 6am, leave the house at 7am now.

It was after middle of the lunar month already but the moon was so pretty, so bright.

The swimming plan was postponed.

Then just now me and my girls we went out for dinner.

We first ordered food.

I was eating REALLY slow as usual.

Jen' and KaiXin ordered dessert/coffee first only then I followed.

I had Mochaccino.

Not very nice.

Especially when the waitress forgot to provide me with sugar,

it was so bitter.

After that,

when KaiXin was in the toilet, me and Jen' went and ordered a piece of cake.

Tiramisu

Not too bad but just not good.

We were there from 5.30pm till 8.30pm,

about three hours there!

Later then we went TongKee to buy some egg tarts.

Going to Seremban again tomorrow,

The Special Malacca Trip

The trip was one of a kind.

Though I hadn't had many trips to Malacca,

I'm love with Malacca,

it is a place full of great memories.

All the typical tourist hot spots belong to my dearest ND109

while the trips to non-typical but local places

lead by the two pilot school graduates were suuuppperr AWESOME!

So it was Saturday after week 1 of semester 6.

Eric brought me to the famous wantan noodle place.

Thinking of the dumpling makes me drool....

Later then we took off to Malacca.

We met his friend from the pilot school at the Malacca airport.

The first impression of the Malacca airport, EMPTY.

Seriously, the guards are sitting on the bench, watching TV..

We met his friend, Isaac Chan,

for now his preferred name, I suppose is Wai Jun.

Then we visited the control tower.

That was a picture to prove I was up there... LOL

Great view!!!

I was just walking around in the tower,

looking outside from the windows while the guys are busy catching up with man in the control tower.

We hanged there for about two hours I think.

Later we went to have chicken rice balls.

Also not from typical tourist hot spots.

Though I prefer the chicken rice balls from Chung Wah,

I have to say, the chicken there was better.

After we're all stuffed with chicken rice balls,

I was brought to the Dataran Pahlawan.

Apparently this is how the boys spent their leisure time during pilot school...

I played a little too.

Just to blend in.

Haven't been allowing myself to spend money on this entertainment for a while,

felt quite good,

only thing is,

I used to be quite okay in car racing game,

don't know why was I so lousy... =__=

Okay okay,

this could be the best shake I ever had...

It was AWESOME!!!

In fact, awesome is still an understatement.

Still think the straw was pointing at my nose...

As requested,

we went to the Pantai I randomly spot.

I misses beach sooo much!!!

It was Pantai Eyes on Malaysia.

Since it's still too early for sunset,

we were hiding inside the car to prevent sunburn.

The guys also refused to go out with sunblock.

1st week

Dong Dong Qiang Dong Dong Qiang!

It's the year of Dragon again!

I actually spent my first day of 2012 working in the mall.

Good start.

Remember it used to be really boring during festivals,

it has been different these few years,

which is awesome,

I'm such a happy girl.

Had a dorayaki with red bean paste

just like how Doraemon likes!

2nd of January was a public holiday.

Went shopping with dad and mom to buy new red lanterns.

Loving the Chinese New Year festive mood at home!

Ever since I had the Starbucks card,

I spent a fair amount of my pocket money buying coffee and cakes.

Well-played, Starbucks! Good tactic to make me spend in the cafe!

Maybe I'm not that into playing piano...

So how's my new year's eve?

I poured myself some champagne,

then finishing up the leftover from dinner

which was McD Prosperity meal.

Coming to the end of 2011 also means that I'm gonna finish this promotion job.

It was great.

Not only the earning money part.

I finally got to befriend with more Malays.

Which is great thing :)

Christmas 2011

Christmas eve 2011 @Passion Restaurant and Bar

I had my Christmas eve celebrated with work in the day

and counting down with friends in the night.

Spot the little presents I prepared for exchange (teehee..)

Thanks to Eric for helping me preparing

while I've been far too exhausted to do shopping and having no time to wrap a presents.

So what did I got from the present exchanges?

Red wine

Both presents weren't wrapped,

didn't get to be curious about what did I get,

didn't get to open a presents with excitement.

Though both are great presents,

will not wish for something decorative :-P

I was super hungry after work,

I ordered my food when I first arrived at around 11pm

while others had already been there since dinner time.

After the count down,

it was alcohol drinking games.

Had a few cocktails of beer, wine and other alcohols.

I got myself drunk after opening the red wine I got from the gift exchange.

I usually get sleepy when I'm drunk,

so when others was having fun doing crazy funny stuffs,

I was just sitting there, watching, enjoying being drunk.

Merry Christmas again.

这次卖香水

在假期还剩下三个星期的时候才接下了最后一份工作，

除了两个星期的促销期，还有之前的三天。

我尽量都不去算可能可以赚到多少钱，

因为我一向在促销方面没什么信心。

从星期一促销期开始时，每天都是早上十点之前就要报道。

然后就是站一整天。

放工回来还要继续做功课，因为在这之前对香水真是一点概念都没有。

话说这个星期的生活真是高潮迭起。

一度手机失踪两天，很失落。

而我一向不喜欢被约束，

如今一天被绑着十个小时，还连续这么多天。

一天老板打包Nasi Lemak请我吃，却没有给我免洗汤匙。

当时四周找不到餐具，逼不得已之下，

就用自己另买来加料的两支竹签来当筷子，

就用筷子来吃Nasi Lemak。

当时那两支竹签还不一样厚度和长度！

其中一餐吃了很喜欢的Kuh Talam！

工作期间吃的最多的莫属McD，

便宜饱腹。

今天是圣诞节前夕。

明天找了朋友代班，所以今晚可以好好地倒数，明天好好休息一番，

然后26号继续冲刺！

Christmas present for my aunt family

Bought this little pot of Lemon Basil from Cold Storage in Mid Valley the other day.

Smell great!

This is my first pot of fresh herbs!

Found this red dragonfly while I was gardening!

《红蜻蜓》(Red Dragonfly) was a very popular song among the children back then when I was in primary school but I had never seen a real one till now, when I'm all grown up already!

Lately, I started another part time job.

I'm promoting perfumes in a mall nearby the neighbourhood.

My late lunch on my first day of work!

McD had not been tasted so good since it is easily available.

So my last 2 weeks of semester break will be spent working throughout

except for the Christmas day when I'll be replaced for work.

The plan is to go to Passion bar to meet friend after work on Christmas eve.

However I'm not sure if I'm gonna make it for the countdown,

not sure whether the mall will be opening for business till midnight.

Then I'll be counting down with the people in the mall instead.

Nevertheless, I had already celebrated with friends beforehand.

This is another memorable semester break.

Christmas at Mid Valley

12/12 was a public holiday in Selangor.

I drove mom, aunt, older cousin and a niece to Mid Valley.

so far the third mall with Christmas deco I visited.

We had afternoon tea at Canton-i.

Similar concept as Dragon-i.

They have awesomely tasty wantan noodles.

We ordered this interesting drink which the flower will slowly bloom in hot water.

We managed to get home at 7pm.
There was Chua family dinner to celebrate grandma's birthday in advance.
Dad got his cake too, cause 12/12 is his birthday!

It was Dandelion's Christmas party on 10th of December 2011!

Me, Yi-San and Andrian,

we prepared these!

I forgot to count!

But we prepared more than 25 pieces of each dish!

It's party time!!

The christmas party was a great one!

We had lots of food and lots of fun!

Prawn cocktails, fried chicken, sushi, sandwiches, fruit tarts, cookies, cakes, salmon, ....

Most importantly, roasted turkey!

Later then we exchanged christmas presents.

Mine was a new Starbucks card with a small tin of wafer.

Then I got a blanket bear with a Snickers in it.

Though the Snickers ended up in those kids' stomachs. LOL

Hope everyone has great Christmas celebration.

I'm gonna have my Christmas eve and Christmas time working,

but at night, count down with my friends!

All about food

As I posted in facebook,

this week is less boring because I'm trying out recipes to prepare for this coming Christmas party with Dandelion.

In the end,

I had these as my lunch on Tuesday.

It was very satisfying.

Mayonnaise Stuffed Egg

Well, stuffed egg was the idea I had when I first thought I'm alone, not preparing as a group.

It's simple, easy to make.

On Tuesday morning,

if you happened to be shopping in Jusco,

you'll see a crazy girl,

walking here and there,

looking trouble...

I was brainstorming.

Apa boleh saya buat?

Then I found that waffle and the crackers.

Waffle is sweet, Nutella will go well with it.

I wanna make it more interesting.

Initially I intend to use the onion flavored crackers,

however it is not bite-sized.

Then I decided to use the Milan biscuits.

Cream cheese is good.

Again, I want to prepare something interesting..

Shrimp as topping will definitely taste great!

Well, if the tastes of shrimp and cream cheese doesn't harmonize,

I can just serve the biscuits with cream cheese alone.

It wasn't really great, gotta make some adjustment here and there.

But what doesn't taste good when there's Nutella?

It was almost noon when Jennifer arrived in the Teluk Gadong KTM station,

I decided that most probably the bah kut teh is sold out already,

so I brought her to YaoYaoBing and fried chicken instead.

Then we went to the park in Pandamaran, Kompleks Sukan to take a walk.

It wasn't hot.

Quite chilling walking under the big trees.

Afterwards,

we went for a movie.

I brought Jen' to Fruity for cakes later.

My favorite Black Forest!

We also had Chocolate Temptation and Honey Walnut Tart.

I had Long Black while Jen' had Cappuccino.

It was raining cats and dogs after we had arrived at the cafe.

Hot coffee, awesome desserts, rainy day and friend,

it was perfect.

At night,

we had dinner at May Flower Seafood Restaurant in Pandamaran.

We had the famous steamed kueyteow, crab beehoon and curry noodles.

Also, nicely prepared teochew steamed fish.

We decided to shop at Jusco after finishing the meal.

That ended the one day Klang trip with Jennifer.

Of course, the next day I brought Jen' for bah kut teh.

Before taking off to Bukit Jalil,

we went to Lucky Jelly for some drinks.

The two most popular drinks in house:

Okinawa milk delight for Jen' and Tropical Passion for me.

Later at night, after the signing ceremony between IMU and Sodexo Malaysia was done,

we went shopping, having steamboat and dessert in Sri Petaling.

Great time!

不再烦恼荒废假日了，因为托朋友的福，找到另一份工作了，呵呵。

之后就忽然顿悟，

真正的假日不多，

原本是有负责一些项目的，

可是后来被取消掉了，一点贡献都没有。

后来还干脆决定不去了，去工作了。

而之前为了那个项目而在收的可再循环的纸筒就自己拿来用了。

是用来挂项链的架，漂亮吗？^__^

早就想买个项链的架了，

可是很贵，一直买不下手，

尤其现在手头更紧，简直可以打消念头算了。

这样做一个刚好，

大小刚好fit进厨里。

今天去逛Jusco了！

其实主要目的是找白色衬衫的，结果找遍了，试遍了，还是没买成…

圣诞节要到了！挺喜欢今年的设计的，一点都不乏味！

白衬衫没买成，

倒是买了件黑色长裤和物色很久了的所谓boyfriend's shirt。

原本最爱的那件黑色长裤给我跌倒的时候弄破了，

那个疤到现在都还没复原，大概是因为让那个医生给弄得太伤了吧？

其实我很怀疑他没有清干净……

都是Nicole买的。

在那里总是可以找到很适合的衣服 ^__^

The other day,

I went to Kota Damansara for an interview.

Though I end up not taking the job,

it was worth the trip there.

I redeemed my free Grande beverage while window shopping at the Dataran Sunway.

First time trying the Frappuccino!

Days ago,

I wrote bro a letter for his birthday.

Yesterday he told me from facebook that he received it already!

Hope he gets well soon ;)

Also last weekend,

I finished the Wernli promoter job.

I have achieved my goal.

Though it doesn't feel right,

it's not enough.

This is the kind of day I'd forget to put down the hand break.

I read my results slip,

the next second I'm thinking to myself:

I NEED to work HARDER.

The CGPA was the same as last semester.

I'm still borderline second upper.

It's usually harder when the semester progress.

I must hold on to second upper,

I must hold on.

I was able to get all B and above grades in semester 4

while I can't even manage a B- for Environmental Issues and Nutrition module?

What was I thinking when I wasn't studying before the exam?

What kind of attitude I had?

What kind of attitude I always have?

Food Service Management and MNT were tough.

With the presentation for FSM and the missed class test for MNT,

B- is fine.

I hasn't been working hard enough.

It's just never enough.

I had delusion of moving backward when I'm consciously aware that I'm stepping on the brake of the car.

I even double checked it!

I don't wanna move backward!!!

Due to Thailand flood, prices of things sold in Malaysia rise.

I was in need of an external hard disk.

Kevin then decided to sell me his with a lower price.

Upon passing me the hard disk, he left lots of movies in there for me.

So far, in two days,

I had finished "Your Highness", "Sucker Punch", "The Chronicles of Narnia", "Love You You".

Among all,

"Sucker Punch" and "The Chronicles of Narnia" inspired me much.

"Sucker Punch"

"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."

This movie also teaches us the importance of team work
and to sacrifice for what's worth.

It hit me.

Susan and Peter were not in the movie already.

Food connects people

I had finally done something I have always wanna to do today.

I decided to go simple, start simple.

Chicken chop it is, everyone likes chicken chop.

Menu of the night

Chicken chop

with mushroom sauce

though in the end,
I made some black pepper sauce too.
The chicken didn't turn out very nicely in the end when I used up the last bit of the bread crumb and reheat the chicken at 9.30pm.
Another thing, one particular brand of mushroom soup doesn't blend in well with the chicken.

The spicy potato wedges was a failure because the spices I used didn't turn out okay.

Lesson of the day was to not mess with different spices if you don't know them well.

I made the salad,

just some butterhead lettuce with thousand island,

just to lighten the meal a little.

Mini apple pies

Bought some ready-to-use dough from the market,
the whole wheat dough was quite nice,
the apple pies was nice and crispy
with the aromatic cinnamon apple filling that was nicely caramelized.

Orange ice cubes soda

This simple beverage was very much appreciated!
With my effort to prepare the ice cubes in the morning to allow them to set and ready for the night.

I gotta say,
I practically lived a housewife's life yesterday.
I did lotsss of laundry, cleaned stuffs and prepared foods.
It was tiring because I had been preparing the meals throughout the day.
The pre-preparation, marinating chicken, baking the desserts,
and the amount of dishes I'd done.
Thanks to the anti-allergy medication and cream, my fingers are still okay.
Then the last touch-up of each plates were done several batches.
First in late afternoon, I prepared one for myself, tasting purpose, knowing the fact that I won't be able to really sit down and eat later.
Then at 6pm, for Sange (third brother);
7pm plus for Erge (second brother);
9-9.30pm for XiaoYi (aunt), little cousin and Dage (eldest brother).

Though things weren't smooth,

it's the satisfying, happy faces of the loved ones

that tells you "it's tasty"

that's worth all the love of the world.

Most importantly,
I can sit together with my loved ones on the table.
Enjoy the moment, small talk, ...

The is the second time I prepare a western meal of at least 3 courses.
1st time was last Christmas,
prepared for dearest bro LiWen during the Christmas eve 2010.

Looking forward to the 3rd one ;)

第五个学期终于也过去了。

期末考早在两个星期前就结束了。

今年成绩出的比较慢，要到月尾才能拿到成绩。

对于是否可以过关我是不担心，

及格99%不是问题。

而成绩理不理想，也到时再担心吧，现在空着急也于事无补。

这次的假期有7周，比上次的6周还长。

不知不觉也已经过了两个星期，

而上一篇是在Study Break期间写的。

考试才结束，隔天就是班级旅行了。

这是我们的第一个班级旅行，

虽然出席的人不到半数，

还有另一班人去了另一个地方，

7个男生当中也只有Kenneth跟来了，

不过也算是个小群体的大杂烩，算是班级旅行了。

再接下来，

跟啦啦队朋友的聚会。

喝了我的第一被贡茶 :D

I've been thinking

that this could be the best time of my life.

One,

I have no time constraint.

I'm not children,

I decide when I wanna go home.

I don't have children,

I don't need to go home to them.

Two,

I go anywhere I wanna go.

One good thing about being a grown up,

I plan then I go.

Or sometimes, I go whenever I feel like it.

Three,

These could be the years when I'm most financially flexible.

I got my monthly allowance from my parents.

I earn my extra pocket money during semester break

and enjoy it throughout the following months.

Last but not least,

I'm free to talk to, play with, enjoy the moment with just about anyone!

Being single, I'm free to hug anyone, flirt to anyone!

(Not that I do :-P)

Appreciate all guys who rejected me in the past,

still feel so crazy and stupid.

Well,

that's part of the process of self-exploration.

In the end I find my way to love myself right :)

Though the best part is having everyone in my life.

Parents are with me,

siblings not getting married yet,

Spicy Chicken McDeluxe!!!

I haven't had my McD meal for a long long time already!

Though I can't finish it, left half fries and half burger for breakfast the next morning.

That way I consume only half the calories :D

Then I went to Dragon-i alone yesterday noon,

just for the XiaoLongPao!

Still missing the taste till now, nomnomnom, so tasty!! :D

I bought a Groupon,

then me and PeiJia went to Uncle R's to use it.

The mixed grilled plate was large!

We're both so full!

The charcoal barbeque is awesome as usual :D

Yesterday night was FUN.

Rick, PohYin, Eric and I, we went out yumcha after so long.

I set Station One as my default for outing with SY friends for now.

Yestea as the default beverage, haha~~ The real yumcha (drink tea)!!

Why is it so romantic that we yumcha under candle light?

The electricity was suddenly off!!!

We played some poker in the end but it was too hot to stay!

Since there's no electricity,

we went to my car to take some photos.

A little overwhelmed

yesterday was a moodless day.

With one meeting at 12pm, the other one at 5pm,

I was a little overwhelmed, especially when I feel so alone and helpless during the 5pm meeting :-(

The study progress wasn't good,

studied only MNT for Cardiovascular Disease.

It felt so good the other day when I moved on to Body Weight Regulation 3 so fast! :O

Had roti canai breakfast with old friends the other day.

Time flies.

I used to spend so most of my time with them,

especially when I was working in Alvin's company.

Now that he's not even doing the business,

he has became a photographer now!

And I'm in my third year of university.

A little smile for myself :)

This morning I was as moody.

Cooked myself brunch.

Mushroom sauce pasta, a little lettuce and baked fish fillets :)

Oh I love fish ^__^

Life is all about cheer leading right now.

Spent my last weekend in IMU.

The competition is coming soon, really soon.

So is EOS exam.

Life would be much easier without emotion and feeling.

Awesome Nights

Tonight, I date myself to a movie.

Though there's no Westlife concert for me,

I had Rowan Atkinson in Johnny English Reborn with his wonderful acting.

The date ended with "Flying Without Wing" by Westlife in Red fm,

an old time favorite.

The lyrics of the song could be one of the longest memories I have.

Earlier today...

I was scratching my head hard just for this.

The Business Plan, one last assignment to mark the end of Semester 5!

Drove all the way to Bukit Jalil just to drop it into the box!

FINALLY! :D

Oh and I had lunch with the whole family except only Er Ge.

Mom and dad always get together during lunch time,

San Ge was there because he is a salesman and salesmen are not restricted.

Da Ge was there too because he was looking after the restaurant.

Er Ge works in Banting so it's quite impossible to see him during lunch.

We tried out the new item in the menu!

Vegetarian fish!

It was nice! It is not like any other vegetarian fish I tasted before!

FSM II Fieldwork, from the the two days visits, till presentation and the report.

Research proposal, from individual presentation, JC defense till the end submission.

Enterprise Management class test, which is sort of EOS exam.

It's so thick that I have to use the big staple.

Revising in the library before the Enterprise Management class test,

I think I score okay after listening to the feedback session ^__^v

Quite a torture but we got through it,

and I'm sure that will be the most fruitful month of all.

I have to say, the old me usually took all these as very good reason to neglect the social life and other activities but not in this month.

Went to Steven's Corner with the Taurusian Cheerleaders!

Though I do not enjoy driving so late in the night also staying up so late.

And having my dad calling me to rush me home, feel quite bad actually.

Went out for lunch with Janet :D

Oh I love fish, never gonna get tired of fish fillets :D

We shared one set of meal in Friday, then topped up the order with some desserts ^__^v

Unlike many other people, I have great appetite when I'm sick :P

Went to Shabu-Shabu in Sri Petaling with WengYan, LiJiun, Jennifer and Catherine yesterday in the afternoon, which was after the class test.

I ordered the SetA, spent RM11 and I love it!!! :D

My swimming bag is still in the car.

Had to miss the swimming training session yesterday because I was too sick!! :-(

Though, I'm okay now.

Went from 38.9°C till 36.7°C now, what a relief!

At least I can attend the cheer practice tomorrow! :)

After all these,

Semester 5 doesn't end so soon.

The next week is the week 14,

we still have the business plan presentation and report of 5000 words to be done,

also the Nutrition Counselling practical test!

Lovin' My Activities

First of all, I went to Raja Muda Forest Reserve for tree planting!

This is my first tree planting and it was great!

The nursery, we carried the little trees with the cart there

and went on the site where we planted the trees.

We were told that, this area of the forest reserve was used for agriculture illegally.

Since this is a peat swamp, it is not suitable for agriculture.

The plantation won't be able to absorb the nutrients from the swamp soil.

Moreover, the soil has high organic content and is highly flammable.

A fire went off during dry season in this area in the end.

The best thing about joining new activities is that

I made more friend from outside N&D! :D

It feels great because we're mostly passionate about the mother earth :)

Then it was yesterday.

After the Food Service Management Field Visit Presentation,

I was all worn out.

I had 4 hours of free time before the cheer practice

and was lucky enough to have PeiJia accompanying me for dinner :)

Well, I'll check it out tomorrow as it is online available in the ND lab.

Me and my group mates for the Food Service Management module field visit to Hospital Pantai, Bangsar KL was in the Collaborative Study Area (CSA) the whole day until we met our supervisor, Ms.Ng!!!

Luckily hard work pays :D

I know I made you work on the most tedious part but I trust you mah.... haha!!!

Though it's not done, I'd say we finished 80% in one day time of that whole big presentation...

Still need to work on it.

In fact, I worked a little on it yesterday night and ended up went to bed only at 2am @@

Then it is followed by the business plan,

and the Enterprise Management class test is coming up too.

Not to forget we need to pass up our Nutrition Education tool, the pamphlet next Wednesday.

A Wonderful Trip

to a familiar place

with beloved mom and relatives

in the middle of crazy workload September.

Mom got free tickets to a concert on Saturday in Genting.

XiaoYi (Aunt) and XiaoYiZhang (Uncle) were invited to join since dad is not interested in the concert.

This is mom and XiaoYi.

We had wonderful lunch in a restaurant upon arriving in Genting.

Then this was my supper that night.

We went to Chin Swee Temple before going back to Klang.

最近压力大得我真的有点喘不过气了。

原来昨晚妈妈也看得出我心情不是很好。

拖着疲惫的身子回家，觉得自己很不值得，心有不快。

我的小小咖啡杯，配上小小茶匙。

用小茶匙来冲咖啡，只是希望自己不要越喝越多。

毕竟咖啡不是有益健康的东西。

那天晚上自己跑出去走走了。

很久没有放纵自己，给自己花必要以外的开销。

好听的英文情歌。

刚刚收到Program Coordinator, Ms.Yang的一封电邮：

"I would like to see you personally to have a feedback session on your academic progress."

当下我的唯一推断就是，Medical Nutrition Therapy的成绩有可能会不及格。

吃午餐吃得很没有胃口，没有心情。

然后在车上就哭了。

洗把脸后，继续忙了。

难过又如何？
Presentation的日子不会延迟的。

其中一科倒的机率已经很高了，
别科不可以再发生什么事了，

一定要坚持下去，直到没命为止。

日子可不可以顺利点啊？

A Field Visit

to one of the Sodexo outlets in Pantai Bangsar, KL.
The day I fell and hurt myself; one day before I was hospitalized.

I drove our group, SanSan, LeeCheng, WenNi and Jones.

Arrived at Pantai Hospital in Bangsar, KL at about 12.30pm, not so sure with the time.

Found a car park very soon luckily.

Met Ms.Ng at lobby then.

My lunch that day, worth RM9.85, inclusive government tax.

The food was ok, I always think outside food is too salty for me,

maybe other customers may think it is just nice.

We enjoyed our lunch, hanging out in the cafetaria.

Some even went and bought ice cream from the Baskin Robin there,

Free one scoop with any pink things with you.

What's worth mentioning is there is also a Starbucks outlet there.

We went on with the kitchen tour after meeting Ms.Suma there.

Short briefing in the office then started off with the receiving area.

I've taken lots of photos of the documents pasting on the wall, but not much of people.

This is the poultry and meat washing area.

I forgot if it's blue for fish and red for meat.

Yes, they have to separate the usage of their knives.

It was a very overwhelming trip.

We were there until 6pm, then caught in the jam.

I was very tired and

I sincerely feel sorry for risking my friends' lives when I was trying to cut through the queue.

for 2 days

I was admitted into hospital for my sport injuries,

kinda silly.

My concern was the dirt and stones that had gone under the skin.

I waited hours and hours,

for the doctor to arrive,

for the insurance to be checked,

for the X-ray to be checked by the doctor,

for the doctor to perform a surgery to remove foreign body.

Then I was kept overnight.

I was all fine, woke up since 6 o'clock in the morning,

waiting for the doctor to come and got me discharged.

I asked and asked, the nurses just told me that the doctor was in operation.

As my plan was to get discharged early so that I could attend the PBL 1B session,

I was quite panic already when the clock hit 11am.

I went to the counter to request for a phone call and mine battery was dead and was taken back by mom.

The nurse attended me was quite rude and I failed to reach my cousin.

I cried, again, sorry about that, my emotional swing.

Luckily, big bro arrived in the ward, as he was just told that I'm still in the hospital.

He helped asking the nurse, did some arguing and complaining of course,

as I said, the nurses in charge was not friendly.

And within 10 minutes, the doctor arrived at the bed side.

Feel sorry about me being rude to him.

He scolded the nurse in charge for not communicating well with all.

Though I wasn't able to leave yet.

The nurses were still dealing with the insurance procedure.

Big bro called a cousin who was under ING too to help out.

Then the whole thing was speed up, or should I say, back on track again.

However, we still decided to pay a RM200 deposit as the insurance thingy was still pending.

By the time big bro sent me home, it was too late to drive to Bukit Jalil again

as my friends had all gone back for their Raya Break already.

By now, arms are still cramping,

for all those unnecessary injections.

The other patient who was in the same room with me also had had very bad experiences with nurses.

People will appreciate if we're treated more carefully you know?

What's more we came to private hospital for a better care,

or we should just go to government hospital next time

cause why pay more when the services are as bad?

I'm enjoying my night,

after the crazy Class tests Marathon,

ended with the MNT Class Test 2,

which constitute 40% of my total marks for the module.

After long time abandon,

I'm happy that I still remember "River flows in You" :D

It's a shame that I never continue my piano class since high school.

A friend from the Dandelion choir posted on facebook

a picture of her in ballet outfit with her parents.

I remember the caption said something about her parents work hand in hand with her,

keep motivating her in her ballet and piano classes.

And that's the reason she never gave up on her classes.

So, why do I quit?

I remember vividly,

once I was playing piano on Sunday morning.

A family member ran out from his room and yelled at me.

how hard it is to take my increasing piano fees from my dad

as I was trying to sound like I don't care.

I just started learning at that time,

I played and asked if that's nice cause I love the song I just played,

she said can you play something else, don't repeat over and over again,

and I wanna watch TV.

I'm glad that I quit.

When I have earned sufficient income,

I'll resume, for sure :)

It was a great outing, a lucky one as well.

We met ShuHui, YiEn and JiaChing while we're about to leave the place!

For that 1-2 hours, it was just us, girls chit-chating.

Some of them are currently persuading further education in China, one's gone to Europe, one's gone to Taiwan.

It is interesting to listen, to know that there're so many cultural differences.

One day, I'll explore the world for real :D

I went to a four course fine dining in Cilantro, Subang Jaya.

Though the traffic was terrible, I arrived earlier than ShiWei and JunXiang.

Waiting with my bread...

Then they arrived at about 7.00pm

After they finished their bread, we started our appetizer..

The title was Thai Fusion Cuisine.

Tom yum soup with crystal fish ball, yum yum~~

Main Course: "Chicken Little"

comprises Mini Gordon Bleu, Stew Thai Meatball, Chicken Galantine

Hello all! It's my one and only 21st!!!

I'm officially, legally an adult!!!

Got my first present just now, from SanGe (三哥）,

he bought on behalf of all my brothers :)

Then this was from XiaoYi （小姨）

Candies and T-shirts.

One is in the laundry basket already.... xD

Well, it was YokeFun's birthday not long ago,

we went to KimGary, me, Pauline, YokeFun and Alvin, and of course, the baby :D

to enjoy the 50% discount coupon ^o^

A HUGE meal, I cannot finish :-/

Enjoyed the black sesame soy drink in MyVegetarian while waiting for dad and mom to come during lunch time.

Yesterday was nephew's birthday!

Just one day before me!

Cousin asked me to make some egg tarts for the party on Saturday, so I did.

My birthday present to myself.

With all the sweat and sound I made while using too much energy to move the whole bicycle into the car....

and of course, the repair cost...

Pauline is back!!!
Well, July is the season of those who went to Taiwan for further education to come back for holiday.
Henry (Pang) and Onion are back, and now I meet with Pauline too.

Me and Pauline, we had dinner yesterday night, at Kim Gary's, with YokeFun and Alvin.

It was YokeFun's treat, she got the 50% discount coupon.
Met little Wayne Hong again also, YokeFun and Alvin's baby.
He's cute <3

We went swimming in the morning, fetched her at 8.30am.

Then went for breakfast at My Vegetarian, Bayu Tinggi.

Followed by Facial, visiting Pauline's grandpa and hanging out at my home.

After Pauline left, I baked some butter cookies with oat!

I'd done some house chores too!
Then at 6pm, I went helping out in the restaurant, until 10pm.
What a day!

Quite a day, had lecture at 9-12pm, which actually ended at around 11am,

went home then had lunch with dad and mom.

Sat in front of the lappie, watched a few episodes of "10 things I Hate About You".

"You know, dad warn us everyday about pregnancy."

"Ya, well. He never mention all the other ways a guy can screw you."

Then at 4.30pm, I drove out to meet Eric.

Eric drove to Henry's, which is somewhere close to the Istana of Sultan Selangor.

We took off to Bandar Sunway to meet Jack and his girl friend, Melody.

At about 6pm, I think, we met Jack and Melody, then Jack drove us all to KLCC to pick up Onion and Neko.

Only then, we went to our destination, Ampang Look Out Point.

We had our dinner there, looking at the view of the KL city.

Then we climbed up to the top again.

Later, we thought of going to Snowflake in Kuchai Lama,

too bad that the place was crowded.

We dropped Neko at Bukit Jalil, they got to see the tiny IMU BJ campus then.

Then Jack drove by the new Taylor's Lakeside campus.

It's large and beautiful, lots of shops!

The buildings are beautiful~~~

Jack went back to his place,

we got into Eric's car then Eric dropped Onion and Henry, then sent me back.

By the time I got home, it was already 12am!

I had no problem falling into sleep that night, really awesome night.

It's Sunday today, as usual, bah kut teh as breakfast in the morning :D

Since dad was busy with the renovation in his office,

I bought mom to AEON and we had some shopping moment.

I got myself some clothes, a necklace with "C" alphabet, supplement, lotion and eyeliner.

I like this a lot!!

Made myself a cup of coffee then.

Mom's gone with relative, including one of my aunt, my XiaoYi, who just got back from visiting her eldest daughter in England.

Mom said she missed her a lot.

Hope she'll have fun.

Tonight will be just me and dad.

The world of Harry Potter created by J.K.Rowling is amazing.

Though the era of Harry Potter ends with the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,
The characters, Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, et cetera will never died in our memories.

I was finally able to smile without forcing myself to last night, after the movie.

Being fully conscious about being emo for no reason is pathetic.

My appetite was so turned on the I totally forgot to take photos of the spicy fish served!

Lecture by Dr.Hariyati, inspiring, motivating lecture,

it's a shame that I was too tired to be able to fully concentrate.

I cooked this, looking ok?

Bought Wantan noodles, some butterhead lettuce for salad, some frozen dolly fish.

Other than using too many types of seasonings, I think it's quite ok :P

Despite being not able to sleep well due to PMS,

I shall say I sort of enjoy being able to feel happy again,

though I had to wake up at 7am to get ready for school while I was awake since 3am in the morning;

though it was still raining so heavily that I got myself all wet, etc etc

Had a rather fruitful Nutrition Counselling tutorial just now with my colleagues.

So glad that "Smile" was on the radio while I was about to break down after a long day.

There was no class yesterday, and no class today.
I've learnt not to enjoy the breaks within semester that it kinda stress me out, I guess.

Constantly feeling like there're a lot of things waiting to be done.

I don't know what's wrong but I just don't feel alright.

We celebrated a niece's birthday that day, someday, during my first week of the semester I think.

It was a condominium we went to, my cousin's house.

She is much older than me, as her first child was actually my classmate in primary school.

This is my cousin's spouse, with my mom standing at the side.

He was cooking prawns, very exotic and yummy prawns *drooling*

This, is an icy dessert I made, perfect for sunny day :D

I made this from bottle beverage.

Next, I'll try with fresh orange juice with soda, hehe~

Then was last Friday, very enjoyable night with a bunch of high school friends.

Friends who made it to the yumcha sessions:

Started off with me and Neko, then Jack joined us in Botanic Cafe.

We convinced him that the dishes we ordered were "inedible",

then proceed to Station One, Henry joined us then.

After some while, Eric joined us, followed by MingLun.

Sping texted Jack, that she's singing for Jake's Harbour Cafe.

We, again, drove there and had our third yumcha session.

Don't be scared, don't think that maybe this girl is blind....

This is me!! xD

I had my car washed for RM3, cheap, right? :D

But then the worker there convinced me to have my car cushion washed.

Spent somemore for that then... :P

My 21st is approaching, can't believe it's this close.

More on the Melacca-Muar Trip

Just realize I didn't upload the photos taken with with my bb.

Also, I never wrote much about the trip.

Well, this is our first stop in the trip, Tan Kim Hock (TKH).

I bought some durian cake, durian sweets and some cookies over there.

We didn't stop by the red house, just passed by.

There were a lot of tourists, especially Singaporean tourists.

Grace said it was Singaporean mid-year school holiday.

We didn't get to Chung Wah Restaurant, we were just too hungry to queue up and wait.

What's more, we had no luck in finding parking, we got moody.

We stopped at a random chicken rice ball restaurant once we got the car parked.

The food there was not nice, at all.

The chicken rice ball was dry and tough, something like the rice cube taken with satay, except they're salty.

As I requested, Grace dropped me at the Dataran Pahlawan so that I could buy some Nadeje crepe cakes.

We didn't really plan the whole trip and we are not familiar with Malacca.

Later, Grace drove us to Muar, her hometown.

We met her mom, then went to her own house.

We chit-chat for some while.

First night in Muar, we went yumcha with her friends, Gavin and Edith at the Little Cafe as I posted in previous Malacca-Muar Trip post.

The second night, after visiting the Jonker Street in Malacca, we got back to Muar quite early.

Grace brought me to a Thai food restaurant, which apparently, is famous among the Muar residence.

We ordered four dishes.. =X

Yeah, just the two of us, eating four dishes.

The otak-otak was really good, and the seafood on the hot plate was really spicy and nice.

We later, were invited to join Grace's parents to a Malay stall for satay.

Again, I ate a lot ^w^

The "Yellow" Arrest

Mr. Hee Tiong Huat, an elderly who can simply care nothing about the politics, for he's already at his age.
However, I think it's because of his age, he had seen the ups and downs of our motherland, the country we call home. It's the love to the country that provide him the bravery to protest in the public, don't you think so?

I don't know much about politics, only until after leaving high school, I'm exposed to the real world.

"Malaysia braces for pro-democracy street protests in Kuala Lumpur"

Of all we, the Malaysian ask for, is a change for good. While funny things start to happen, hilarious decisions made. The usual traffic jam spot gets worse, the unusual traffic jam spot also starts to be "clogged" up on peak hours.

Policemen get busy these days.
A 3-lane highway got blocked into 1-lane when the traffic is already a mess. People spent more time on the road, more petrol wasted, more people arrived at work late, more job undone, and the country economic get more negatively affected while people are frustrated due to the jam.

People starts making fun of the "Yellow" Arrest.
We see people with yellow uniforms stopped by policemen, yellow vehicles got blocked by traffic police, which are quite some ridiculous phenomenon.

Peoples' life are greatly impacted.
As for myself, I'm advised to not go to a lecture tomorrow, which I have to travel from Klang to Bukit Jalil to attend.

Please don't arrest me, I'm just stating out the fact and the things happening around me.
And all I want, as a Malaysian Chinese, is to be heard, respected and treasured.
I love you, my motherland, Malaysia.
